At La Biennale di Venezia Francis Ford Coppola presents the Golden Lion Award to Werner Herzog for Lifetime Achievement. The Godfather-Director reasons:

"It's not enough to praise Werner Herzog. One must celebrate that someone like him can actually exist. 

If Werner has limits, I don't know what they are. His life and his very existence send a challenge to everyone out there: "top me if you can!" And all of us truly wonder if anyone ever will. Werner, I will eat my shoes if anyone comes along who can do it. "

We would like to wish Wim Wenders a belated 80th Birthday. In honor of the "Der Himmel über Berlin" Directors check out the ARTE Documentary: "Wim Wenders: Der ewig Suchende". It has to be in French and German at least. It was great chatting with Wenders at the Villa Aurora Pre Oscar Party. The Documentary lets you in on the work process of the Artist and Mastermind.
